No Way

 

Today I wished my life away.

I cried and pleaded, to God I prayed.

I had just had enough of not being wanted –

Feeling as though my emotions were being taken for granted.

All I wanted was for him to understand

That I’d do anything for him, just because he’s my man.

Oh but to get that message across the floor,

I ended up feeling like he didn’t want me anymore.

I felt my world crash down around me!

A life without him – this cannot be!

And so I wished to die today,

Because living without him – there’s just no way.

liked it usually can t stand rhyming poetry. enjoyed the honest display of pain we ve all felt. love d the title. liked the first line. favorite line... oh but to get that message acrosss the floor. the lines worked together very well as a whole. a succint beauty this poem

This is a very nice write, In the line third from the bottom though wouldn't it be A life without him?
