Alive To Die

I may be alive,
But I want out inside.
I don't want to have to
Deal with this pain anymore!
I just want to be happy.
No more pain.
I'm dead inside,
Slowly dying on the outside.

Why can't I die?
Why am I still alive?
What is my purpose
In this God forsaken world?
Is there, in fact,
A purpose at all?
"Things happen for a reason," they say.
But will we ever find out what it is?
Will we ever be shown
Why we suffer?
Or are we just alive
To die?
