Rise, my Love

Rise, my Love

A Poem by Kitty

Rise, rise my Love

Rise from the dead.

Hear my voice calling you;

I am Imhotep.

There are fools who try to stop me,

But they will not succeed.

They do not understand

This desirable need.

I’ve missed you so,

My Anck Su Namun.

But soon you’ll rise

With the glow of the moon.

Here come the mortals again

“Kagame,” I order my men

Once and for all

I want to be rid of them.

With intent to kill

My soldiers of Death rise

“Imunestna,” I scream

Wanting their demise.

No, this can’t be!

They’ve got the book of The Dead!

And once again

You lay down your head.

It fills me with

Unbearable pain,

But, my Love, I promise

You will rise again.

I cannot bare this yearning

For the love I have lost

But those mortals will die and you will rise -

I will achieve this at all cost.

Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
