Me and the Moon

Me and the Moon

A Poem by Kitty

Me and the moon
We're really good friends.
Every night we share stories
Of relationships coming to a bitter end.

We share stories,
Talking all night.
Our tales filling the evening
Until the skies become light.

Our conversations,
Always filled with pain,
Spoke of our past
And how, now, nothing remains.

The moon's brightness,
A smile painted by the sun,
Hid the true emotions
Of what was going on.

Knowing all too well
Our smiles are fake,
Put there to hide
The pain we're forced to take.

We share stories,
Me and the moon.
Such a pity
The sun will rise soon.

This was so amazingly beautiful and soft, filled with a gentle sadness... Each stanza is perfect, reflective and emotive... May you never have to speak such sorrow to the moon ever again!
