If You See Him

I’m writing this letter

To a dear friend.

I’m afraid things won’t get better

And that this may be the end.

 

I might never

See him again.

I know we said forever

And I’m sorry my friend.

 

I wish I could see him

One last time,

Before the day grows dim

And the stars refuse to shine.

 

If you see Phelan

Please tell him I said goodbye,

My heart is slowly failing

And I am soon going to die.

 

Please let him know

That I still love him with all my heart.

My feeling have done nothing but grow

Right from the start.

 

I know this letter might not

Reach him in time –

Before the day grows dim

And the stars refuse to shine.

 

So I ask you for this favour

Of a dying girl,

Please tell him there is no one braver

And that he still rocks my world.
