Can't Hold On

Can't Hold On

A Poem by Kitty

I can't hold on -
I can't take the pain.
I'm hanging from a ledge,
Completely engulfed by flames.

I'm burning, sizzling,
Won't somebody help?
My skin is beginning to blister,
Soon it's going to melt.

I can't hold on -
The pain grows more intense.
My fingers are slowly slipping.
I grab for your hand - my last defense.

But as I reach out,
My other hand slips.
I keep grabbing,
But I've lost my grip.

I couldn't hold on,
Now here I lie,
Burning in flames -
It's such a horrible way to die.

Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
