A Poem of the Broken Hearted

A Poem of the Broken Hearted

A Poem by Kitty

Feeling down
And oh so blue.
Who would have thought
I could feel this way about you.

Now every night
I lay crying in bed
And a from my wrist
Flows a river of RED.

I once loved you
But that was a while back.
Since then
You've turned my heart BLACK.

ORANGE is the colour of the flame
That burns from within.
All this anger inside -
It's a mortal sin.

I was so jealous
I mean GREEN with envy.
You were always with her
When you were meant to be with me.

And now all the colours are gone
Everything is just a bright WHITE.
I now feel completely free,
Like a butterfly I take flight.

Another great write, very powerful emotively and at the same time very poignant, I like the way you used colours for your poem.
