5:15am

A Poem by Kitty

It’s early in the morning -

The sky still dark outside.

Nothing is moving,

As if the whole world has died.

Sitting at my window,

I wipe the tears from my eyes

Looking outside and questioning,

Whether I would see the sun rise.

And I wonder,

Will I see tomorrow?

Will I be able to survive

All of yesterday’s sorrow?

I ask myself,

Now lying on the floor,

Is my life worth living?

I don’t know anymore.

5:15am

And the world starts to come to life.

No one will even notice

That in my lifeless hand, I still wield a knife.

Excellent, so simply written but such a powerful statement you make, I'm glad to hear that you no longer want to cut yourself.
