Amnesia

Amnesia

A Poem by Joshua

As she goes to sleep
I ask myself
Where do we go when we sleep?

I imagine a garden
This garden is taken care by a gardener
This garden is full of flowers
and every day the flowers seem to just add up

This garden is beautiful
This garden is yet to be spoiled
Some of the flowers are colored
yellow;
blue;
and red.

The flowers that are full with hues feel so alive
Yet there are some flowers that have no color
There are some that don't have petals
Those ones feel forgotten
Those ones feel dead.

One day she was in a car
and then everything went black
The flowers were slowly dying
the color was begging to unsaturate
until there was none of them left.

And she woke up in a hospital bed
with a health report saying ^
