Race among the spectrumsA Poem by Josh Weseynm. RACE AMONG THE SPECTRUM I’m lost in a spectrum A light spectacle So spectacular a sight Lost in its ambient waves And its translucent beams Racing through this never ending portal, Where sound is somewhat solid Where my imaginations are mere constructions This is no prison This is no heaven either Is this my fate? To float in a never ending path to the unknown? Is my vision impaired? And my mind becoming somewhat naughty? After a year in this realm My eyes have been opened I’m not going anywhere Is not the simple fact that I have escaped? A lesson in these hidden scrolls We spend our spans racing in circles Becoming slaves to our own creations Our own machinery rapes away our jobs The race of the realm finally settles as I awake From my shallow slumber In a barren land of bones, What is this? “Your world. If nothing is done” © 2014 Josh Wesey |
