SELDOM SAVANNA STUDENTS

SELDOM SAVANNA STUDENTS

A Poem by Josh Wesey
"

A poem.

"

His eyes are filled to the brim,

And gently they burst forth waters of overflowing emotion,

His skin so scarred,

Heaven knows the beasts he has wrestled to survive.

A damp rag is wrangled round his waist as clothing,

A gourd is slung down his shoulder,

No Knowledge Whatsoever,

Except for one word that guards his path

“Survive “-------------------------------------------------

His brethren’s corpses lay cold battered & bruised nearby,

Another corpse?

A jaguar lay with a wooden stake to its belly,

The Word rings again

“Survive”

He rises and struts away.

Good job my friend, these lines were moving!
