After Judgement

After Judgement

A Poem by JoshuaStribbell

The crowd listened to.the bagpipes
And the lying men scream
One envisioned triumph,
Another saw defeat
One saw the Lord and it brought him to his knees,
Another saw the devil marching on his horses feet

And with silence it grew cold
When only whispers could be heard
Until a noise sent vibrations
Pulsating through the earth
In the distance grew a light
White explosions in the sky
And for a moment the crowd
Was blind, deaf and dumb
Before they died
