Dark hall

Dark hall

A Poem by joshua sauerborn

I want to get to the gates as badly
as the moon wants to get to the dark
during the day.

Every breathe, every step
every thought that I take a piece
of me falls.

It's like living in a small dark box,
trying to escape,
but not if the moon never falls,
still waiting for the gates to call,
watching all the stars fall.

The clock ticks
while my soul kicks
like a cat trapped in a box.
