Buddha

Buddha

A Poem by Joshua Knight

Hold me Buddha in the stars

In the light breath

In the cold mountain

On winding roads and in aloneness

Ineptitude, in the bitter biting

Frost of fear, in the wind

In the now, in my sacred world

In aloneness, in aloneness

In now, in falling leaves

In joys gone, in joys remembered

In family security, in bubble baths

Football kick-a-bouts, in brotherly drunkenness

In foolish talk, in holy desire

In dread, in terror, in now

In everything, a prayer for loving safety, in the acceptance of being who you are, living a life. In the being, in the believing, in the trust. Perhaps.

Words to hear and to hold.
