"The Stranger in the Mirror”

By Josh

As i dry myself off I look in the mirror
I am not wearing and clothes
the female shell that I try so desperately to hide is now exposed
the female shell is standing there
lifelessly staring into space as the boy trapped inside screams
he screams and pleads hoping somebody will rid him of this incorrect shell
he is trapped
he is trapped inside a shell he can't get out of
the boy pounds against the inside of the female shell
hoping the pounding will set off some kind of alarm or bell
to free him from his misery
his misery of being trapped in a shell
a shell of a stranger in the mirror
