You wrapped me in your arms
And protected me in harm
Hold me in my misery
Comforted me in my frailty

Loving so tenderly
Given it unconditionally
Bestowed hope in everything
Though my failures were shouting

I was a disgrace
A failure with nothing to praise
But you believe in my capacity
With no hold backs or uncertainty

Mom, if only time didn't lose end
