Halfway to Hell, Halfway to Heaven

Halfway to Hell, Halfway to Heaven

A Poem by Josh Anderson
"

When you feel caught between salvation and damnation

"

I spoke to God today
And He said where have you been
I was tempted to run away
But where could I go
Where could I go

I saw the devil at the crossroads
He looked an awful lot like me
I tried to look the other way
But I couldn't escape
I couldn't escape

I'm not forsaken
Just a little lost
The toll that life's taken
And my own personal cross
Heart on the verge of breaking
Where can I escape
When I'm halfway to hell
And to heavens gate

I like this!! I don't know a lot about poetry but I think it's well written and I like the way you draw a person in.
