Dead

Dead

A Poem by Josh Anderson
"

I have loved, but not been loved. Now what was alive in me is dead.

"

Please don't ask if I'm ok
I really don't know what to say
Another day another dose of pain
Another day it all starts to look the same

I'm not angry just a little numb
Indifference now is the rule of thumb
I can't give in to the agony
I can't release that side of me

I'll just smile and nod my head
The part of me that care is dead
Behind theses eyes the laughters gone
Maybe I've been dead all along
