Cog in the Social Machine

Cog in the Social Machine

A Poem by Josh Anderson

They're going to keep you under tabs
To see the way that you act
Just to make it clear who's in charge
Another spirit at large
And another cog in the social machine

The nation of civil unrest
A country born to be blessed
But still no one seems to see
The longer we cut, the longer we bleed
Another gear in the murder machine

They try and clean up our looks
With history books
Saying it's a lie we're doomed to repeat
The longer we march on broken feet
We become just another cog in the social machine

This reminds me of My Chemical Romance's "Teenagers" because of the lyrics"another cog in the murder machine' I wonder if you drew inspiration from it? But I think this is good I like the idea you present here , kind of a call to arms. And it's true they will continue to do what they want unless we change it.
