Prophet, Liar or Saint.

Prophet, Liar or Saint.

A Poem by Josh Anderson

As I walk through this valley of sin that I paved
No mercy grant me , I'm beyond being saved
I've walked this road blindly, just waiting to see
How long could I walk this road of agony
Before the fire, before the flames
God leave me to my sin and my shame

Am I lost in your eyes
Have I spent all my chances, is it too late to atone for my lies
To cast off my mask
Thats all that I ask
To wear my own face
Before I'm disgraced

The road to hell is paved with good intentions
And all the thoughts we never thought to mention
No more regrets
This is the only life we get
Spend it wisely before you stand before the throne
You could judge others for their sins, but what about your own

Whats my destiny , what's my fate
How much more can this heart stand before it breaks
It has bent, it has strained
Until nothing but love and hate remained
I ask you Father, what's to become of me
Can I look into the stars and see my destiny

Is this life a battlefield, are we just the soldiers
Where is the cross I'm to carry upon my shoulders
Where is the path I am to walk, on fire or on rain
Am I to be a prophet, a liar, or a Saint
What am I chosen in your eyes to be
Just a self fulfilling prophecy
