RootsA Poem by Josh AndersonA strong soul starts with strong roots
I'm not about to run away
But I've been eclipsed by another day It's not a prospect of my strength It's a matter of when I break All I have to do is wait What has become of my soul It has refused to grow A tree of life with dwindling roots A tree of Knowledge with unforgiving fruits It's not a prospect of my hope It's a matter of my will to grow But what do I know Two sides to an imperfect soul One says yes, one says no Upon which must I stake my claim Upon which side must the oceans break What is my fate © 2014 Josh Anderson |
