As I was YesterdayA Poem by Josh Anderson
Now these could have been the best years of my life
But instead I wasted them in front of stars asking why I only listened when my heart began to break And only then did something start to change Now I'm not the same as I was yesterday All the lovers watch the world go by in bliss And all I longed for was just a single kiss I wasn't sure how much more I could take The love was slowly being turned to hate Now I'm not the same as I was yesterday In the glow of the fires I set to burn my thoughts away I pondered all the choices I have made What does it take for a single man to change his ways All the lessons I've been taught slowly entered in my brain Now I'm not the same as I was yesterday © 2014 Josh Anderson |
