A Poem by Josh Anderson
"

Hold on

"
The broken life holds a promise
As you're standing on the edge
Will you take your chances
Will you take another step

The voices whisper comfort
But you tune them out
You're tired, and you're hurt
And your heart beat's awful loud

You're falling apart
And you're not sure why
Is it a broken heart
That you're trying to hide

You're holding on
By just a thread
You pretend that nothing's wrong
But it only hurts worse instead

There's promise in the tragic
There's peace inside the pain
When not a tear is shed
Then not a tear remains
