Running Too Long

Running Too Long

A Poem by Josh Anderson
"

When you can't run from your past anymore

"
I've got nowhere to run
There's nowhere to hide
What's done has been done
I've got to face what I am on the inside

How could this be all I am
How could this be all a dream
I thought I was more than a man
But as the night wears on it's fading away

I'm not running away
I'm not running anymore
It's my turn to stay
As I spend another night on the floor

The demons are rising in force
Their numbers are strong
But I can't run anymore
I've been running too long
