Hand in Hand with Brokenness

Hand in Hand with Brokenness

A Poem by Josh Anderson
"

Hope with always follow pain

"
A light dims from a burning glow
Where the flame went you will never know
Just a glimmer from what you used to be
Hope walking on a broken street
And you shuffle forward in defeat

Faith cracked from the strain
Will bends from the constant pain
Another hangover to cure the wounded heart
A sinners lullaby to soothe the scars
But tragedy will always leave its mark

When the bottles have all gone dry
And you look for a second chance at life
Hope walks hands in hand with brokenness
As you leave behind the emptiness
And walk into the lights embrace

I really like the progression of this, the going from a broken individual to a person who has decided to recover and embrace the light. Its very lovely! Would you mind if I sent this to a friend? She'd really like it, I'll give ya cred still but she don't have an account on here :/
