Still Has a Crack

Still Has a Crack

A Poem by Josh Anderson
"

When the heart has broken and healed, sometimes it still has a crack.

"
I'm running away
But not fast enough it seems
I cannot escape
Nobody hears my screams
As I'm fading away

I'm tearing myself apart
But not fast enough
Sometimes I pray that I go too far
But the daylight always picks me up
And I start again

It's another day lost
But another day earned
Another bridge crossed
For another one burned
Trade one for the next

My sins outweigh my pride
There's not that much left
I'm broken inside
You've taken the rest
What's left for me

I've made my mistakes
Some I can't take back
But for every heart that breaks
Mine still has a crack
If that means anything
