Mystery Man

Mystery Man

A Poem by Josh Alan

Let me tell you a story

a story about a mad driven man

dressed in cloaks and capes

raised by wolves

he howls, slowly

as he comes up from the ground

bringing an ancient noise

the trees...

and wind...

start to dance

some let it into their cold boring minds

others reject, and kneel down with their eyes ablaze

we say to the night  "forget this moon, this angelic rhythm and radiant rain will last us a lifetime"

this is the rhythm you hear at night

when your eyes are touching the sounds

slowly creeping into your brain is this rare and stunning sound

the sound of the people

the people of the earth

who hear a greater bell

peeked, from the highest mountain

this is our rhythm...

so dance with me...

gracefully...

alluring and captivating our lives

humble, innocent and inviting

is this noise so many long to hear.
