Blank PagesA Poem by Josh121A poem I wrote in art when i could not draw anything. It was written in a very tough part of my lifeStaring at
a blank page just waiting for things to change All these
expectations weighing on my shoulders Fill the
page with lines of beauty, lines of love Lines of
pain Make the
page burst with the influences of life Banish the
white with the precise strikes of black Pour your
heart, your soul, onto the page that blankly absorbs it all But what
things lay buried at the bottom of my heart? What things
taint my soul? If released
from their dark prison, will they roam and ravage the world? Will they
spread their sinister influence into the minds, hearts and souls of those held
close? Or will
they find a haven in a new prison? Bathing in
the white of the page Free Changed Influenced by
this brilliant light Perhaps
some part of them will remain Forever
embedded in my very essence Perhaps they
will bide their time Growing
stronger Growing till
they break free once again Taking over
once again Forever tainting
my soul Forever
using my heart for their sick games Perhaps it
would be better never to fill the page Leave it
blank White Maybe a tainted
soul should never be seen No Just my
soul My soul
should never be seen Unless it
destroy us all So I leave
this page blank Reflecting Reflecting
on the troubles of a dark soul In order to
spare us all © 2012 Josh121Author's Note
