Me

Me

A Poem by Joe Palmer

Bitter by nature, or spiteful by choice?
Your blood surely boils at the sound of my voice
This untactful approach will never cease to appaul,
As I intrude and encroach do I make your skin crawl?

Fouled by nuture, or merely a fault in the breed?
Better avoided they say, I can't help but agree.
Prone to manipulate, rotten to the core,
Can I just stipulate, I couldn't agree more.

I twist your every word, I even twist mine,
A provocative fiend, absent in more than just spine....
Remorseful at least? Hardly, this hearts made of stone.
But the fate of this beast, will be suffered alone.

Strong words and emotion made the words come alive. I like the powerful statements in this poem.
"I twist your every word, I even twist mine,
A provocative fiend, absent in more than just spine...."
I like the ending to the excellent poem.
