Finite

Finite

A Poem by Joe Palmer

When did the music stop?
When did something in our hearts decide, it was time to just give up?
To the pain we succumb
Baby we're done
Now that the rhythm's stopped.

When did the spark go out?
When did we decide we'd had enough, or there abouts?
To lonely abyss we surrender
It's now or never
But when did the flame die out?

When did the bonds begin to sever?
Was it just meant to be that we would would not last forever?
Doomed from the start
Yet you still broke my heart
Now that our ties are severed.

I like how the title pulls everything together. Everything has an end, even when we don't want it to :(
These could be really great song lyrics though :)
