Days like these.

 

It’s days like these when Rome would Fall.

Days like this, I don’t care at all.

Life just lingers, but death, that calls...

But it’s easier just to groan.

 

It’s days like this that grate the soul.

I’d let cities burn and empires fall.

When time stagnates, and slows to a crawl.

It’s quicker just to moan.

 

It’s days like these that take their toll.

Life means little, I've forgot my goals.

And it’s only Monday! Just to top it all.

They say in death we all atone.

Thanks Coyote, yeah I struggled putting my feelings into words in the last line. I wasn't sure whether we atone by all the 's**t' we face in life, or we can atone for all the negativity we have in life, in death. Very much up for discussion! thanks again

The inverted umbrella reminds me of a greeting card Rose sent me (she sends me one about every 2-weeks). It shows a woman getting weathered hard by the wind and the rain and shouting an expletive to the sky as her umbrella is torn from her grip. Kinna funny.

But yes, there have been bad days where we yell to the heavens, "Is that all you've got ??"

And then moments later deeply regret it as - our situation does in fact get mighty worse. :)
