If Only we Were Two Again

If Only we Were Two Again

A Poem by Joseh

Two pairs of brown eyes, separated by pride, terror, and weaknesses

Two hearts, holding onto each other with broken fingers

Two souls, sown together and ripped apart over and over again

Two people, one being, impossible

If only he could understand that I would give up everything to be with him

If only he could understand that I don’t want him to change

If only he could understand that running away never works

If only he could understand that we’re in this until the end

If only he could remember what it felt like to be skin to skin

If only he could remember what it felt like to hear each other’s voices

If only he could remember what it felt like to hear those three words

If only he could remember that a soul mate means forever

this scared the hell out of me when I read it because it's EXACTLY the type of situation I was in. it's exactly how I acted and talked.
