Animal InstinctA Poem by José HumildeJust up late...watching old re-runs of Law and Order. haha
There goes the prey that I'm silently stalking.
I've gone hungry for far too long. Pounce on her back lightening fast-almost shocking.I have no remorse; I see nothing wrong. I snapped her neck before she could make a sound. Her sweet flesh was teasing my nose. I made sure there was no trail so that we could be found. Drove her home and ripped off her clothes. She wasn't my first; definitely not my last. I finished up with my tasty snack.I compared her to others I've had in the past. Licked my lips with a slurp and smack. A noise at the door; somebody was knocking! I opened the door with a bit of a quiver.
It was just the neighbor, "That's my car you are blocking!" I backed up my truck and made plans for some dinner.© 2010 José HumildeAuthor's Note
