Sleepless Nights pt. 2

Sleepless Nights pt. 2

A Poem by José Humilde

My mind is traveling at the speed of light.

Trying to sleep with all of my might.

Thinking of power and making some money.

Thinking of jokes that could be kind of funny.

Thinking of days that have passed me by.

Thinking of what follows the decimal in Pi.

Thinking of the people that I luckily know.

Thinking of a raven; thank-you, Poe.

Thinking of plans, it keeps up my scheming.

Thinking of you...wait, I save that for dreaming.

Thinking of stars, and how they shine brightly.

This is the process that I must go through nightly.
