Visions In Slumber

Visions In Slumber

A Poem by Joanne Jayne
"

Another song I wrote on guitar several years ago. This is about my sleep paralysis. The vocals are sang in the Black Metal music genre style.

"
Howling, hollow silence
Fading, deaden eyes
Haunting, face of evil
Terror will bide

Luring, maw is gaping
Seething, shallow breath
Hunger, fear is feeding
Mother of death

Nightmare enshrouds lambent walls
Shadows embrace the mourners call

Perversions linger in darkness
Insanity bleeds into night
Deathly visage stalks in slumber
Misery's solitary plight

Beating, heart is failing
Twisted, haggard grin
Aching, soul is weeping
Tortured within

Haunted, nocturnal torment
Plunging, icy grave
Whispers of lamentations
Your spirit enslaved

When nightmares enshroud lambent walls
The shadows embrace my call

It's a rap-song for sure. You seem to be capturing some kinda deep visions-envisions of your deepen life... in words. Very profoundly pen'd up. I can imagine, how greatful and magnificent it'd be when you sang it in your melodic voice.. having your soften fingers fingering (strumming) all ov'r the chords. Excellent. I'd be looking forward to listen to what your beautiful voice hums.
