Striving

Striving

A Poem by JM Taylor

Unrealstically striving,
believing I'm arriving while pursing goals that are useless at best.
Spending all my time thinking I'm thriving,
unrelenting to the idea that my highest expectations are blinding me.
They're Unreal. Man made, in my head.
always arriving for our highest ideals.
Coming to the realization that this mind set is poisoning me..
so I've chosen to let it go.
Be in this moment, I'm Releasing the pressure..
Granting Permission to slow down. Present minded and reminded of what's important. Relentlessly over achieving for approval... From who anyway? Insesstant chatter in your head that you adopted from people who don't even matter. They're souls are dead, unread and cold. But you're alive now, Reborn. Don't mourn anymore my child, go live the life and adorn yourself. Be who you always wanted to be. Be free.

Be a few lessons learned when 'raising your fingers, be YOU when placing a sentence. In other words, be you as have so well above - but, as with playing tennis, you have to know a few of the rules to win !
