Awake In A NightmareA Poem by Jorge Ron
The sun is shining
but I'm still underneath the moonlight and I still can't see the light shine through the curtain and all these people they walk by me so happily And since I was born without my skull and my lungs can only breathe from yours and the trees that fall they are a thousand miles away from here I feel down I feel awake in a nightmare And i'm still walking in the footsteps of what others see and I can just believe and pretend to be happy and I keep hiding from the fear that me tight And I was brought home to you and I have my life to tune and the screams that yell they all come out and face their fears I feel down I feel awake in a nightmare And for mom and dad I'm so so sorry can't you see? I'm trying to change for me, my friends, and my family and all these people they walk by me so happily And since I was born without my skull and my lungs can only breath from yours and trees that fall they are a thousand miles away from here I feel down I feel Awake in a nightmare
