You Don’t Know My Middle NameA Poem by Jorge Peppertrees5/23/18
House, money, music, you.
Play your little game See how your garden grew? What's my middle name? What are you trying to prove Attention, power, fame Buddhistly judging every move What's my middle name? Two’s a crowd in a king-sized bed Cringing at your lack of shame Rest my hairbrush contused head What's my middle name? We both know what went wrong Let's say genetics are to blame I can't stay where I don't belong What’s my middle name? It’s Ann Ann! A-N-N Ann Thats my middle name And if i didn't stick around, It’s cuz you killed the flame © 2018 Jorge Peppertrees |
