Do it

Do it

A Poem by Hell in a Hip Flask

Do it.

Run the night,

start a fight,

kick the club doors down.

Raid the bar,

get a scar.

let your parents down.

Message him,

message her,

tell them how you feel.

Go to him,

go to her,

so they know it’s real.

F**k all night,

do it right,

leave scars in your backs.

Look at her,

look at him,

they won’t look you back.

Walk the day,

hear them say,

I think he’s still drunk.

Get back home,

you’re alone,

see how far you’ve sunk.

Try to think,

watch them sink,

all your memories.

All the smiles,

and the trials

blur so you can’t see.

Can’t see him,

can’t see her,

were they ever there?

No more thoughts,

No more dreams,

because you don’t care.

You don’t care.
