A Conversation with RamirezA Poem by Hell in a Hip FlaskI I know you
didn’t do it Ramirez, everybody knows
you didn’t man. Even Bovey and
Hendrick are with me, they’re not
gonna do s**t in that court.
We’re gonna be
right here when you get back, and we’re gonna
be right there when it goes down. They got half
the station coming over to court and we sure as
s**t ain’t gonna be quiet.
Listen, we all
know it’s f*****g death out there, I don’t blame
you if you snapped a little, maybe threw in
a punch or two, I would, but I know you
didn’t shoot, I know it.
You weren’t the
only one in that tunnel.
II ‘He’s been up
there for 3 hours for christ’s sake, give the man a
break he needs to think!’
‘Please be
seated Sergeant Deeney, Officer Ramirez
can look after himself’
Trying to test
him man, all these
lawyers are just f*****g around
with him, waiting for him
to slip up.
That judge is
gonna drop his bloody hammer, It’s happening
today, I know it is. These scumbags
haven’t smelled downtown, and now they’re
gonna trial some kid, who waded a bit
too deep.
I mean look at
the f*****g kid, he wasn’t
ready.
There’s no way
he was ready.
III It’s not like I
don’t understand but why did you tell me
now after all that s**t. After I sat up
there and shouted your name, no one believed
more than me.
I wouldn’t of
told anyone, I understand Ramirez. I’ve been in
that tunnel, you can’t see s**t, they get all
around you, I know!
But I really
thought you didn’t do it man, especially that
one kid who ran.
I get it I do
but he didn’t have to die, you must know
that.
Please tell me
you know that. © 2016 Hell in a Hip Flask |
