Clockwork

Clockwork

A Poem by Jordyn Zacharias

Watching
Wishing
Waiting
Working
Like clockwork

Watching time fly
Before you can grasp it
Finding someone
To keep your vigil
And watch time fly

Wishing that time would slow
That things were different
That someone would change
Stop bieng indifferent
Wishing time would stop

Waiting for a change
That will never come
Finding a new hope
Rising like the sun
While you wait for change

Working, working
The gears are turning
To raise your mechanical sun
Tick tock time is up
Now your time is done
Like clockwork
