Revalation : A Sestina

Revalation : A Sestina

A Poem by Jordyn Zacharias

Roaring Guns and Clashing Steel
Men Stand in Long Thick Lines
Ready to Meet the Lord
Their Every wound He Feels
But His Courage to them Binds
The Strength to Face the World

Now Blodied is the World
By Mad Mens Guns and Steel
Who's Ropes and Chains tightly Binds
Those men together in Long Thick Lines
While Every wound they Feel
As they wait to Meet the Lord

How Sad and Dissappointed is the Lord
With his Ruined, Ravaged World
That These men cant Feel
Their Rampaging Steel
As they cut down their Petty Lines
And Loosen what them Together Binds

They who cut their own Binds
Will never meet the Lord
For there are no more Long Thick Lines
Upon the Flattened World
So they lay down their Steel
And Begin again to Feel

Such Pain and Anguish do they feel
For slashing at their Binds
That they Break their Bloodied Rusted Steel
And look up to the Lord
And pray to Redeem the World
And return the Sacred Lines

And New again shall form the Lines
And Humble shall they feel
For Once they had destroyed the World
And Broken all their Binds
And Forgiving was the Lord
For he gave them their Steel

And Now the World is Filled with Lines
And Men can Feel Their Steel
As they tighten their Binds to the Lord
