Some Keep The Sabbath Going to ChurchA Chapter by JordanThis is a poem that I DID NOT write.. It is a poem by Emily Dickinson that I absolutely love and I had to share it.. So, please, yet again, know that this is NOT MY POEM but Emily Dickinson's!!!!* PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT MY POEM BUT EMILY DICKINSON'S!! I HAD TO SHARE IT WITH YOU ALL BECAUSE I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! ENJOY!!* Some Keep the Sabbath Going to Church- by Emily Dickinson SOME keep the Sabbath going to church; I keep it staying at home, With a bobolink for a chorister, And an orchard for a dome. Some keep the Sabbath in surplice; 5 I just wear my wings, And instead of tolling the bell for church, Our little sexton sings. God preaches,"a noted clergyman," And the sermon is never long; 10 So instead of getting to heaven at last, I’m going all along! Please keep this in mind when trying to force others to believe as you do. There are different ways to worship God, not just in a pew in a church on a Sunday or Wednesday. © 2012 JordanAuthor's Note
