What Are We Really Thankful For?A Poem by Jordan JonesThanksgivingWhat Are We Really Thankful For? We’re so thankful, for all that we have. We cherish each moment, like it’s our last. We say our blessings, then eat the dressings. The turkey brings us together, and we’ll love each other forever. Yet we trample each other, and camp outside. To race for great deals, after a thankful meal. We push and we shove, then steal and take. Spending all of our earnings, and the money we make. I thought you were so thankful, for all that you have. It’s so hypocritical, but even more sad. © 2015 Jordan Jones |
