Sugar and Spice

Sugar and Spice

A Poem by Jools
"

Dark, Love...

"

Sweet Lucy May

 Your

Candyfloss spirit

Grasps me in your

Sway

A mirage of dolly mixture

 Charm

Like a rainbow dream

That can do no harm.

I swoon to that illusion

Drawn to the vibrant

 Colour’s of

Your delusion

Like a dolls house

Perfection

All pretty and lace

A mere reflection

I adhere to in haste

It melts away

Like a kaleidoscope

In transition

You capture my heart

Locked within you’re prisons.

A portrait you display

Sweet Lucy May

Innocents hidden

In flowers forbidden.

The light now losing its glimmer

 Your toxic magic flowing

In deeper rivers.

Sugar and spice

 Your

Dolly mixture

Of life.

This had enough glitz and glamour to have me well entertained! It felt very post-modern and Beat like, if you know what I mean.

Oddly enticing!
