Drifted

Drifted

A Poem by Jools
"

A story within a poem

"

Floating out on the tide

A free ride

I walk on cobbled stones

The pain I cannot

Hide

I follow your path

But somehow

I cannot reach you

So surreal

On tides of steal

In strength

  Grew

 My eyes are fixated

To your drifting motion

On the waves of

Emotion

You suddenly stay still

In a current of

Mystery

So tranquil

I move closer to capture you

Before

The tide takes you further away.

The tide goes out

I grasp you just in time

Then I wake

To the whirlwind sound

Within my mind

The cobbles show no footprints

No proof that I was there

 A ball is found

Between crashed rocks

Alone

Without a care.
