I stare through the noose, contemplating everything that brought me here. I turn to my desk to be met by the faded shine given by a band of unity with ties long severed. It rests by a picture of those long gone. I turn my head down, illogically fearing tears from empty wells. I lock my tired eyes back onto the noose as feelings of emptiness devour my being until the noose is left as a sole remnant. My vision stagnant as I step onto the chair in front of me. I place my head in the noose as I kick the chair away. Despite my body's struggle, my mind stays blank. I feel the air leave my body as it blows away the sorrow, the pain, the regret, everything...
