Ode to a Valentine

The story of two souls meeting

Kindred spirits who walk alone,
Igniting the ground and melting stone.
Most dare not get close, for fear of the flame,
Burned in their souls, their past is to blame.
Everyone who gets close, runs for the hills,
Reminding them why their life has no frills.
Love made them lost, though inside they look,
Each of them crossing path without looking up.
Yearning to find the second half of their book.

Days turn to months, months turn to years,
Anger inside, brings forth only tears.
When least expected, these spirits collide,
Not looking for each other, just wanting to hide.

Life is a lesson, neither yearning to learn,
Ignorant to the spark that would once again burn.
Now the spirits found each other in the heart of a storm,
Zephyrus unites them, rain and wind fills the skies.
Yet they see each other clearly with no need for disguise.
