I Dream of You

I Dream of You

A Poem by Jonathan CuzBubbawicz
"

Written after I had a dream

"
In dreams, I wander to a cabin so warm,
It echoes of love and some gently swarm.
A flickering fire, its glow paints the room,
And in that soft light, memories loom.

Outside the door, where cool breezes play,
I see her, still radiant, in the dawn's early day.
Wrapped in a quilt, her beauty transcends,
A moment suspended, where time gently bends.

She sits in her rocking chair, swaying with grace,
Her smile a beacon, yet silence to trace.
I long to declare all the words in my heart,
But they slip through my fingers, forever apart.

What binds us as dreams, in their shimmer and glow,
Turns into longing, a tempest below.
And I wake in the morning, my heart filled with tears,
For the love that I yearn for dissolves into fears.

Oh, fleeting the visions, like smoke in the air,
Yet the ache for her presence lingers everywhere.
Though dreams may elude and words fall away,
In the chambers of longing, your spirit shall stay.

I cradle the promise of love in my soul,
Guarding the visions that make the heart whole.
For in dreams, you're a treasure, forever adored,
A whisper of beauty that I long to restore.
