Return to HopeA Poem by Jonathan CuzBubbawiczGrowth is inevitable
In the stillness of night, shadows creep near,
A whisper of doubt, a soft cloak of fear. The dawn lurks ahead, a restless refrain, Awakening heavy, a heart draped in pain. Yet amidst the dark, like stars in the sky, Shimmers of love begin to draw nigh. Your mother, your sister, your daughter so bright, Their laughter a beacon, a flickering light. And in the soft warmth of a new tender hand, A partner who lifts you, who helps you to stand. With beauty and passion, she paints your new dawn, A reminder that every dark night leads to a morn. The shadows of past, they cling like a shroud, But trust in true love can quiet the crowd. Your ex, just an echo, a memory lost, For love should be gentle, never the cost. So breathe in the good, though it feels out of reach, Let gratitude speak, let your heart learn to teach. For each thorn that pricks, there’s a petal that gleams, In the tapestry woven, hold tightly to dreams. Now lay your head down, release all your blame, Embrace all that’s precious, forget not their names. The tears may still tremble, but remember this truth, Life’s canvas is vibrant, with strokes of your youth. © 2024 Jonathan CuzBubbawicz |
